For example: When using a walker,doing household chores,pushing a shopping cart,or using a treadmill,the wrist wearing the device may remain relatively stationary or occasionally move.If the 10-second calibration is triggered, the device will temporarily store step data; only after continuous movement exceeding 10 seconds will the accumulated steps be officially recorded. If the activity pauses before reaching 10 seconds, the temporarily stored data will not be added to the total step count.

What does “SHIP” mean on my fitness pedometer watch? Does it need a new battery?

“SHIP” means shipping mode. Press and hold the buttons at 2 and 8 o’clock simultaneously to activate it. No battery change is needed — it uses a CR2032 battery with roughly a one-year lifespan.

Why is step count inaccurate when using a walker, shopping cart, stroller, cycling, or doing housework?

These activities involve minimal or irregular arm movement (e.g., when using a walker, your arm may not swing enough to be detected), which interrupts the 10-second counting rule and may cause undercounting.

Why does the step counter start counting steps only after 10 seconds?

It only records after 10 seconds of continuous motion to filter out non-walking movements and improve accuracy.

How do I turn off the button sound on my walking pedometer watch?

Press and hold the 10 o’clock button to enter settings. Then press the 8 o’clock button repeatedly until “Key” flashes. Use the 2 o’clock button to turn the sound on/off, and press the 10 o’clock button to exit.
